This web of yours connects you to the branches on either side of you and acts as a bridge to your family and community. These healthy relationships you keep help you to stay well. You understand that the branches where you built your home are part of a tree that is rooted into the soil. You are connected to all things living.

You have a strong sense of self and know the power you hold, especially when in touch with your personal values and the traditions of your people.

Understanding how you feel, the thoughts you think, and why you behave the way you do gives you the superpower of understanding how others may feel. 

You are skilled in your awareness. You know that we are interconnected with the land and those who cared for this land before us. This land supplies us with everything we need to survive and you give thanks by spreading seeds of love for all living beings to enjoy.

Guidance for Oak Trees

Continue to feed your innerself, interpersonal relationships, and your interconnectedness with the land.

 

Journal & Draw: Describe yourself or draw a self-portrait: What are you most proud of about yourself? How do you impact your family and community? What are your strengths and unique qualities?

Meditate: Pick a song that brings you calm or brings you joy. Close your eyes as you listen to this song. In your mind, picture yourself in your favorite place in nature. Notice what you do in this version of yourself: are you dancing, are you at peace, are you with your friends? Take the length of this song to appreciate and love on yourself!

Connect: Write a letter to an ancestor. This ancestor can be a blood ancestor or one that you choose. This can be someone who inspires you to be your best self! Write a letter to them: give them an update on your life. Tell them about your strengths and challenges–what kind of guidance would you seek from them? Ask questions! Share your gratitude for continuing to inspire and guide you from afar.
