When your mind, body, emotion, and spirit are in harmony, you experience wellness. Wellness is supported by healthy relationships between yourself, you and others, and you and all living things including plants, animals and the land.

Innerself is your connection with yourself, including how you understand and care for yourself.

Interpersonal skills help you build friendships and work as part of a team. (You are a team player!) 

Interconnectedness is feeling and knowing that we are all connected and that our actions can impact the world and those around us. We make responsible decisions for the joy of all.

You have a love of all people. You are a jade plant. As a jade plant, friendships are important to you. Friendships are one way you experience wellness and ease in life.

You are skilled in creating strong relationships. Now that you are building a strong bond with yourself,  you can also create a relationship with the land. This relationship should also be strong because we are interconnected with the land and those who cared for this land before us. This land supplies us with everything we need to survive and you give thanks by spreading seeds of love for all living beings to enjoy.

When you care for your physical body and emotional body, your mind will learn to be hopeful for good things to come. Focusing on your relationship with your innerself will allow your spirit to show you what you add to this beautiful world that too adds to your joy.

 

Guidance for Jade Plant

Another way you can experience wellness is by caring for your body and practicing self-love. You can strengthen your progress by drinking plenty of water daily and taking five minutes a day to write about anything you are feeling.

Jade plant, you are a tree. Connect with yourself, your roots, and bring awareness to nature all around you. 
 

Journal & Draw: Journal or draw about three people that you love and are inspired by, or who influence you. How do they make you feel? What do they teach you? How do you grow with them? 

Meditate: Pick a song that brings you a sense of inspiration. Close your eyes as you listen to this song. In your mind, picture your favorite place in nature that brings you calm and peace. Notice details that you see. What colors are in the plants, animals, sky, or water? Notice any smells or weather you feel. Thank the land for protecting you and caring for you.

Connect: Write a letter to an ancestor. This ancestor can be a blood ancestor or one that you choose. This can be someone who inspires you to be your best self! Write a letter to them: give them an update on your life. Tell them about your strengths and challenges–what kind of guidance would you seek from them? Ask questions! Share your gratitude for continuing to inspire and guide you from afar
